SUMMARY: Heritage Auctions is seeking an experienced Cataloger/Processor in our Dallas office to provide research, evaluations and descriptions of E&M-related memorabilia. +
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Properly identify, research comparables, and establish conservative auction values for Entertainment & Music-related consignment property
  • Create appropriate catalog descriptions for upcoming auctions
  • Effectively use internal and external research tools and knowledge bases to gather and confirm factual and historical information for descriptions
  • Evaluate provenance
  • Provide editorial/text proofing for catalogs and advertising as well as image review
  • Assist with all aspects of catalog production, as needed
  • Work with potential bidders to help answer questions about lots prior to auction
  • Perform other tasks/projects as may be required
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Excellent research and writing skills, is a must
  • A keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to learn quickly, effectively prioritize tasks/activities and follow an established Style Guide for description presentation
  • Computer proficiency
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
  • 3+ years of writing experience
