COMPENSATION: $26-28/hr

SUMMARY:
This new role for our expanded New York operation will increase efforts to garner business through Events Programming, to strategically identify new clients and deepen the relationship with existing ones at Heritage Auctions, among other duties. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Implement and expand on the strategic Events Program in New York for immediate and long-term goals which include the cultivation of targeted groups to generate awareness and develop our brand, especially in emerging collecting.  Assist in identifying groups to invite to previews, such as clubs, collector groups and Trusts and Estates professionals. Work with the global team as requested. 
  • Organize events including invitation management, catering, setup and staffing requirements as well as greeting guests and other support for specialist departments. 
  • Pay specific attention to audience, promotions, programming, evaluation of return on investment, and continued relationship building with all attendees and gather data for BD team. 
  • Work closely with the business development team to establish criteria to identify qualified clients for outreach, invites, and special campaigns. 
  • Develop and oversee the newly expanded New York location process implementation, best practices, and assessment of return for all events.  
  • Keep abreast of competitor events, trends, social and events calendars with the goal to maximize our presence in the areas collecting communities. 
  • Act as an informed brand ambassador and potential point of contact for client facing events, initiatives, and experiences at internal and external New York events, or elsewhere as requested.  
  • Assist PR team, as requested during events, media days and other needs; assist with social media and other soft marketing as requested. 
  • Assist in ensuring the expanded gallery always looks good, working with all relevant marketing and visual teams to maximize the space.  
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Minimum 2+ years of operations, event experience, client facing or marketing coordination background preferred. 
  • Strong logistics and organizational skills required, attention to details a must. 

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Action-oriented with skills and aptitude to excel in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task. 
  • Must be highly detail-oriented 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to communicate with all organizational levels 
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekend hours when necessary 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
Individual must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. During peak periods, there may be mandatory overtime; work extended hours nights and weekends.
