SUMMARY: Responsible for managing accounts receivable activities in order to achieve department goals.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
  •  Supervises a team of 2 accounts receivable professionals.
  • Responsible for the overseeing and accuracy of all cash receipts processing in a multi-company environment.
  • Assists with system implementations and process improvements related to accounts receivables.
  • Analyzes and prepares reconciliations including the monthly reconciliation of bank, credit card and PayPal accounts.
  • Identifies and resolves problems and suggests corrective procedures.
  • Assist with audit requests.
  • Responsible for the accounts receivable month end close process.
  • Interfaces heavily with corporate executives, departments and clients.
  • Monitors the status of our AR efforts on a daily basis and motivates employees.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies, reconcile and correct revenue accounts, general journal entries, verification of deposits and postings to accounts receivables.
  • Is an agent for positive change to help the team advance and become more efficient.
  • Ensures the department is complying with generally accepted accounting principles.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have an associates degree, Bachelor’s degree in Business - Accounting preferred; minimum 1+ years’ experience in a supervisory role; thorough understanding of Corporate Finance and Accounting Principles.
 
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficient with Microsoft GP and Excel; must be able to multi-task and adjust to new situations quickly; must have excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written; must have a proven ability to recruit, lead, mentor, evaluate and develop staff; must be extremely detail- oriented and have a positive attitude.
